Hi man, this is a framework core functionality, you have to update the theme to latest version… is already implemented 😉 to last version, you can download it directly on themeforest…

Based on what you’re saying I should have this functionality because I have the recent version of Old Paper. I cannot, however, figure out how to use it. I can’t find where I can control which posts go into the chess layout

Hi FNews, you can choose the category for CHESS LAYOUT into ” Oldpaper theme options -> home page options -> Chess Layout Posts (Select category for Chess Layout) ”

Same issue. I have the latest version but the options aren’t showing up. I’ve downloaded the file you had initially attached but I’m unsure what I need to do with it. What am I overriding?

Hi fontinaturner, you have only download the pack attached in the last post ( Chess-Layout-Categories1.zip ) and override your existing files with these in the pack… and than select a category in ” Oldpaper theme options -> home page options -> Chess Layout Posts (Select category for Chess Layout) ”

So to upload this file you have to have the latest version of OldPaper and upload this file? Where would we upload the file? What are the existing files we override?

Hi Marco,

I got the chess layout to work so now it’s pulling in articles from a category. Are the posts below supposed to be pulling in the latest post? If so, that’s not how my site is functioning because it’s pulling in a post from 8/7/14 but we have posts that have been published after that.

Hi ducalea, the “Standard post listing” belo featured articles SHOW last articles and EXCLUDE the CHESS LAYOUT category , FEATURED POST CATEGORY and EDITORIAL category(right sidebar)..

You have to check if you’r talking about articles into this categories…
