Some new and some from my old post:
1. WPML – some themes I use have build in WPML styling, so that when turned on, the language switcher appears in the style of the theme in a good location (top menu bar I’d say).
2. I’d love to see the search in the top bar, so that people can easily search from the homepage where the sidebar might not be showing, or the search is showing under the editorial article. This way users could also totally remove the search from the sidebar if they like.
3. About that sidebar, I’d love to see an option for the sidebar on the homepage to start under the features posts, so that these can really stand out – 3 posts look the best, but they are a bit cramped now next to the sidebar. It will also make the look more “open” on first view of the homepage.
4. I’d love to see an option to add a divider, like a | or / in between the menu options.
5. the chess layout – at the moment the images have a layer over them (opacity 0.4) and if you hover over an image the real image appears. This is pretty but I’d like it to be the other way around, like the featured images have. So that the tile shows the original image and when someone hovers over it, the layer (opacity) appears. This can probably be done with some css but i’m not sure how.
6. Would it be possible to view images in the menu from the latest posts? This will look especially nice for fashion / beauty blogs with good photos.
7. More colour choices without the need for custom css. For example, I’d like the top menu to have a white background with black letters, but the primary colour should stay what it is.
